ONE DAY Workshop


Activities and Schedule:

10:00 am - 10:15 am: Introduction and Icebreaker.

Glen will introduce himself and will provide a brief overview of the workshop. Participants introduce themselves and share their interests in the tattoo industry.

10:15 am - 12:15 pm: Design and Stencil Creation.

Participants will follow a demonstration on how to create a tattoo design and transfer it onto the skin using a stencil. Glen will also discuss the importance of proper placement and sizing.

12:15 pm - 1:15 pm: Health and Safety.

Glen will discuss the importance of maintaining a clean and safe workspace, including proper sterilisation techniques and how to prevent the spread of infections. Glen will also discuss the importance of obtaining the necessary licenses to operate as a tattoo artist.

In addition, Glen will also discuss the various tools and equipment used in tattooing, including machines, needles, inks, and other supplies. Glen will demonstrate how to safely set up for a tattoo.

1:15 pm-2 pm: Lunch

A vegan lunch will be provided. If you have any dietary requirements please let us know in advance. Light refreshments will also be provided throughout the day.

2:00 pm - 5:00 pm: Tattooing Techniques.

Glen will demonstrate different tattooing techniques, such as shading and line work. Participants will tattoo their own design onto fake skin following the guidance of Glen. Glen will also discuss best practices for minimising pain and discomfort for clients.

5:00 pm - 5:30 pm: Aftercare and Client Management

Glen will discuss the importance of proper aftercare for tattoos, as well as how to manage client expectations and ensure customer satisfaction.

5:30 pm - 6:00 pm: Q&A

Participants have the opportunity to ask any remaining questions and share their tattoos from the workshop. Glen will provide additional resources and guidance for those interested.

By the end of this workshop, participants will have a basic understanding of the tattoo industry, including health and hygiene practices, design and placement considerations, and set-up procedures. They will have also had the opportunity to practice using sterilised tattoo equipment to create a simple tattoo on fake skin.
